FAQ
Frequently asked questions about singing lessons and studying vocal technique
1. Who Are Singing Lessons For?
Singing lessons are suitable for everyone, regardless of age, level, or background. Whether a beginner, an experienced hobbyist, or an active performer, each lesson is individually tailored to skill level, goals, and preferences, so that vocal use, technique, and performance confidence develop safely and effectively.
2. Do I Need Previous Singing Experience?
No previous experience in singing or music is needed. Singing lessons are open to complete beginners – the most important thing is genuine interest and the desire to learn something new. Many start taking singing lessons as a hobby, to develop their own voice, or to build confidence in performing.
3. What Happens During a Singing Lesson?
The lessons focus on a wide range of fundamental vocal skills, such as voice production, breathing technique and body use, while also strengthening expressive abilities and interpretation. In addition, selected songs are worked on together, tailored to the student’s preferences, goals and skill level.
4. Can I Choose the Songs I Want to Sing?
Yes! Wishes are taken into account and singing lessons are planned accordingly. The teacher can also suggest songs that support learning, vocal development, and musical expression in different genres.
5. How Often Should I Take Singing Lessons?
Most commonly, lessons are held regularly once a week or every other week, allowing learning to progress steadily and with clear goals. However, lessons can also be booked more flexibly and on an occasional basis, for example to prepare for a performance, concert, or exam.
6. Do I Need to Be Able to Read Music?
Reading music is not essential, even though it can be helpful and beneficial when studying singing. Singing can be learned excellently even without the ability to read music, as songs are practiced by ear and, when necessary, under the guidance of a teacher. It is also possible to practice and develop music reading skills during singing lessons as part of vocal training.
7. Can I Try a Lesson Before Committing??
Yes, a 60-minute introductory lesson is available (60 min / €60). It is also possible to purchase individual singing lessons, which make it easy to try singing instruction at a relaxed pace and develop the voice without committing to a longer course of study.
8. How Do I Sign Up for Singing Lessons?
Registration is easy via the Sign Up form on the website. Briefly describe your background, goals, and wishes on the form, and you will be contacted as soon as possible to arrange the first lesson and discuss how to proceed.
